BEHIND THE BRAND

Meet our designers!
We are two sisters, (from the left) Amy and Christiane Osterman! We were born and raised in Dyer, IN. Our bridal gown journey started back in 2014, when Amy could not find the perfect wedding dress. She tried on so many dresses but just could not find "the one". That is when Christiane aka Christy, decided it was time to design a custom wedding gown exclusively for her sister. Amy chose the lace for her gown, down to the intricate details of a zipper with covered buttons. After Amy's wedding, word traveled fast about her custom designed bridal gown and soon Christy was designing couture wedding gowns in our area and eventually nationwide. Christy is passionate about the gowns she helps create and over the years has made her brides to be dream dress a reality. Here's how we were able to do it:

I (Christy) always found a love for formal gowns. As I child, our mother would make us beautiful gowns to wear for Easter, and we would play dress up in them. My love for formal wear started at an early age.

Beginning in high school, I (Christy) started taking interest in designing and sewing my own clothing. By age 18, I started making shirts and pants to wear for both myself along with some of my friends. As time went on, I got married and had children, so finding the time to sew became non-existent.

In my early 30's I met a woman named Amanda and we hit it off right away. She became a close friend of mine quickly and I found her life to be so fascinating. She spent many years living in Saudi Arabia teaching English to royal families, and the formal fashion industry is something she took interest while living there. She traveled to China to find the best wedding dress manufacturers to have gowns made for brides in Saudi Arabia. Amanda taught me everything she knew about bridal gowns, from the types of laces and fabrics used down to which manufacturer to have custom designs made.

Which brings us back to Amy's wedding dress. Since then, Amy decided she wanted to be a part of the wedding dress world too. She believed in my vision of us one day designing our own wedding gowns to sell for purchase and that is how Two Sisters Bridal became a reality. We decided to take the leap in summer of 2024 and move our studio to a brick and mortar.

We now carry many of our own wedding dress styles to try on for purchase. A large number of the gowns we offer allow for modifications and many of our brides appreciate the flexibility choosing their dream dress!
Can't find a gown you love, and you have a vision of taking different aspects from different dresses to make it into a custom design? You have come to the right place. Custom designed wedding dresses is our specialty so please email us and tell us about your vision.

We also carry for purchase Mother of the bride/groom dresses, prom dresses, winter formal dresses, Homecoming and evening dresses. *Please note, this category of gowns does not allow for modifications or changes. However, many of the gowns we offer are available to order in different sizes and colors.

We are delighted to also offer Ricca Sposa wedding dresses from the Ukranian designer, Julia Lobachova! Julia's story is quite similar to Amy's story. Back in 2011, Julia was in search of the perfect wedding dress for her big day. She could not find a gown she loved so she decided to design her own wedding gown.

Ricca Sposa, has been in existence for 13 years, creating four collections of exclusive dresses per year to meet the desires of the most demanding brides worldwide.

Translated, Ricca Sposa means “wealthy bride.” For Julia, a Ricca Sposa is a bride who stands out with her inner beauty, intelligence, and feminine strength. She is guided by moral principles and remains true to her values, knowing what she wants and pursuing it without hesitation.
